Clarify who authorizes work and changes. Ask how remaining moisture checks and separately priced equipment or visits will be handled.
Discuss the collection setup with the contractor.
Prepare a useful description.
Give the actual building address and ZIP, rooms, approximate depth, floor types and discovery time. State a known source or explain uncertainty. Mention entry restrictions and who can approve charges.
Ask for the scope and price together.
Confirm assessment charges before booking. Review the collection tasks, room boundaries, contents responsibilities, exclusions and payment terms. Clarify how additional recommendations will be priced and approved.
Discuss the handover.
Ask what remains damp and what moisture checks or records are proposed. Any equipment time or later visits should be explained with their charges before approval.
